About Us

Siouxland Reporting Service was started by myself, Denise Derby, in June of 1998.

I have been a court reporter since April of 1988. I worked in New Hampshire, Connecticut, Milwaukee and Chicago area before coming to Sioux City in the spring of 1994.

My hometown is Emmetsburg, Iowa. I grew up on a farm near Cylinder, Iowa. I moved to Sioux City so I could be closer to my family and so the grandparents could be closer to my three daughters.

I feel with the training and experience I have had in the field of court reporting over the last twenty years, I am able to offer my clients a quality transcript in a very timely manner. I am also looking forward to implementing some of the new technological changes in the court reporting field to better serve my clients in the future.
